As it once happened , regrettable in Nigeria (Biafra), in Yemen today, more than eight million are on verge of starvation from the war in the country. It is estimated almost 18 million people lack access to good, nutritious food and 8.4 million are on verge of famine, as they simply do not know where their next meal is coming from.
The United Nations has described the conflict in Yemen as one of “the worst humanitarian disasters in modern times”. The civil war has left millions struggling to afford basic goods. It is estimated that 8.4 million Yemenis are on the verge of starvation, with many more eating just one small meal a day.
It is imperative that Nigerians guard against war by living in peace, being considerate of each other’s welfare, religion and such. Nobody has a monopoly of violence!
A word suffices for the wise!
